Melghat Tiger Reserve
Melghat Tiger Reserve is a renowned wildlife sanctuary and ecotourism destination located in the Amravati district of Maharashtra, India. Established in 1974 under India’s pioneering Project Tiger initiative, it was the state’s first designated tiger reserve and among the original nine in the country. Encompassing over 1,500 square kilometers of core habitat, it is celebrated for its rich biodiversity and striking landscapes across the Satpura hill ranges.
